Funny story about Kumquats.

When I first came to LA, I was walking through the Santa Monica promenade and I came across a fruit market. I was about to turn around and head back to the shops when a guy called out to me. (Like in Aladdin) He told me to come over and handed me a kumquat. I started to peel it and he was like “no no no, just put it in your mouth and chew.” Now, the guy seemed like a jokester, and I wasn’t about to be had, so I told him I simply refused to do so. He then called over his daughter and she verified that I just needed to eat it whole.

I had a whole couple moments where I looked at the fruit, the merchant, and his daughter in disbelief. Then, I just did it.

It was great. I bought a whole bag.

Kumquats are weird but delicious.

And thats all I have to say about that.
